Are you scared of flying?

There's probably not many people who haven't thought about their plane falling out of the sky. I used to have worries but my job involves lots of international flights (a little less so now than a few years back) and I think it sort of knocked the fear out of me after a while.

I used to travel alone a lot and to be honest I used to fear airports, queues, delays, crowded flights, getting stuck next to some twat who takes the armrest, getting sat behind some twat who sees fit to drop the seat back as soon as the light goes out, stale fart smells, spilling red wine down myself, not being allowed as much red wine as I want, rancid bogs, crusty old stewardesses, no seatback video screen, shit food. Oh I could go on and on...It's not so much the fear of flying it's the combination of boredom and sheer irritation that gets me going - in fact, losing both engines would be a fucking blessing on some flights.

 You should write a novel about it. I'd read it!
