I would not quit.
A country has the right to make that decision regarding its views on marriage, and I recognize that, fair and square. I would just know in my heart that it meant something different to me.

Oh, I must have misunderstood. I thought you were trying to say that it's somehow inherently wrong/harmful to believe a person should ever resist acting on their natural inclinations, in general.
