...So has he always been like this or is it a fairly recent upswing?

Recently his insane ramblings have been getting worse, but generally his MO is make wild, bald, un-evidenced assertions based on faulty reasoning and illogical emotional outbursts on a thread and then disappear once challenged. 

I'm surprised actually that he's bothered to stick around in the thread after his claims have been repeatedly trashed and debunked by the evidence available. Indeed, trying to get him to post anything reasonable that's not just a bald assertion or an outright lie is generally impossible, as evidenced here. Generally a good poster-boy as to why conspiracy theist nut apologists are a laughing stock.

Pay no attention to him, nobody else does. ^_^
