I do the same, but I do it while no one is around.
I do it a lot more by myself. I slip up sometimes around others and don't realize I'm doing it.
Do it rather silently. Talk to yourself in your mind. I sometimes talk to my own brain. I always got the impression that it represented an entity seperate from my own conscious self.
I do find that discussions with myself tend to help me understand myself better. I get what you're saying there.
