Sometimes I get kind of History-Channel crazy, and start thinking that the ancients might actually have known things that we are still trying to (re-)discover. I've even gotten a couple times to the point of "I'm not saying it was aliens, but. . . it was aliens.
I'm also keen on how Buddhist and Hindu philosophers were debating the pros and cons of ideas that were supposed to have been invented in the Enlightenment or later. So much for modern Europe as the cradle of all great thinking.
