This is exactly what my mother said when we were walking out. My dad said he had really high expectations and I think that was half the reason my parents didn't enjoy it as much as my sister, friend and I did. We three grew up always having the SW movies around while my parents experienced the original release and expecting jaw dropping magic from a 40 year old franchise, IMO, is to not acknowledge the saturation of Star Wars in our culture. I didn't expect it to be magic, and didn't dwell on how much I wanted it to be good, I let it be what it was and I think that was a large part of why I enjoyed it.
Don't thinky, just watchy.
