Oops my bad, remembered reading about the fact that the two groups largely shared the same religion about a month ago and mis-remembered it as both groups being sunni. In fact both sides in the civil war are largely zaydi (also). However, the Iran connection is still largely mythogical spread by the Saudis in order to justify their war.
