I think it depends which characters you like. If you're a Wolverine fan, you'll love the X-Men films because it's basically The Wolverine Show. Same with Mystique, Magneto and Prof X as of the recent films especially.
Too bad for me I love Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm and Rogue, who are consistently fucked over in almost every single film. Given 5 minutes of screentime and shit costume designing (apart from X3's Dark Phoenix outfit, which was a benediction).
I'm still yet to see Apocalypse, but I think it will be better due to Sophie Turner (although I don't like the casting choice for Cyclops, personally, I don't think he looks the part).
