As long as you have a flooded market, and as long as you have fearful cops and fearful society, you wont reduce either gun deaths or conflicts with law enforcement.
It is way past time to tell the firearm industry to get with the program or get the fuck out of the way. It is way past time to tell the NRA to fuck off.
I agree, cops should not be playing judge, jury and executioner. But it is hard to expect them not to fear when they constantly face an armed public.
