Pop culture only has the influence one allows it to. Just like there are Pro Soccer fans and Pro NHL fans and Pro NFL fans and Pro College football fans, whom are not violent, while others do get violent, either at a bar or at the stadium. How many riots do we see after sporting events?
AGAIN, marketing works for EVERYTHING, be it a video game, be it a sport, be it a product, be it a economic view, be it a political party, or a religion.
It isn't to say everyone who buys the marketing will get violent, just to say that some, even if a minority cant tell the difference between marketing and reality.
You are easily the most humour-impaired person I've ever met, either online or IRL.
