I've pretty much gotten everything I've ever wanted. I acquired my dream house in the country while I was still fairly young and have lived a quiet, frugal life ever since. I worked long hours for half my life and became financially successful enough to retire at 53. I'm 71 now and hoping for another 8 or 9 years of good life before I kick the bucket. Males in my family tend to die around the age of 80.
About the only things in life that interest me now are movies, weekly Mahjong, and food. I can only hope that my arthritis doesn't get too debilitating. Unfortunately, it's the family curse. The only thing I haven't received, thus far, is a Middle Earth Fan Fiction Award. I've been nominated a few times, but never won.
