An news anchor brought up a good point. Lots of people are getting excited about how Democrats are beating Republicans with mail in votes. It sounds nice on the service. But we also need to remember all those people won't be voting on election day, because they already voted. So you have to subtract those votes from election day totals, not total count, just the number of people who show up on election day.
My fear is that this will give Trump the illusion of winning on election day, and he will use that to declare victory and try to use the courts to end the vote counting of all early and mail in votes.
It doesn’t matter how many people vote on Election Day. It matters how many people vote altogether.

That was the point the anchor was making. That is exactly what I am saying too. There are the same amount of registered voters regardless of how they vote. It DOES matter how many mail in and vote in person collectively, which make up the total. That includes election day too.
That is why we cant simply look at the mail in ballots.
