Funny thing about art, it is far more metaphor than literal. But even art tells the truth. 


I actually am being very literal in how Trump followers are willing to follow him off a cliff. 

Trump used the imagery of dominance in starting at the top of the escalator, in a ridged physical position of dominance and power, to assert his wealth and power, to come down that escalator and assert authority. He knew it would play to his bigoted base. It was an accelerant.
