[poem] Could it be ?
#1
[poem] Could it be ?
A green garden, a river, and a bat
A couple of hits to eradicate the hag

She kept chasing me inside and out
Haunting my closet, moving quickly like a rat

She wore torn feathers, dusty they were
She was ugly, nobody saw her but me

A wise man would tell me to run
A friend would tell me to seek warmth under the sun

The image changed to paint a field
So green, so sunny, with a river that shields

The hag won't follow me here, but she did
Suddenly I saw myself, holding the bat like a kid

But I was powerful now, so I hit
Few swings, and the hag was gone

So now I rest, the river moved so gently
Another she was close by me, resting like me

Alive I was, free I was. But that brunette next to me, who is she?
A green garden, a river, and a bat. Clarity, peace, it's a dream, but could it be?
