If the police sees a woman or girl not wearing a headscarf, they will throw her in jail and fine her. For example, a person will be fined as much as several months' salary.
Nevertheless, women demand their rights. which is the freedom of any kind of clothing.
We know this. Religious oppression of females is sick disgusting yes. But it exists even in America. LDS, Amish, all have crappy gender role clothing requirements for their women. We don't jail people through force of government, but the social stigma of non conformity for those sects of our society can be quite brutal emotionally and even physically for women here.
And we agree, women should never be told what to wear or forced to wear clothing they do not want to.
