In particular, I admired the modest, reserved, intelligent, and peaceful disposition that Donat was able to give to the character of Mr Chips. Hence, if you like movies about teaching, romance, and personal growth/cultivation, then you just might enjoy this movie.
Good call - it always makes my top ten list.
