Just watched "Happy Death Day"
Even though the premise was basically groundhogs day with murder involved I thought they might have come up with some original storytelling outside of the main plot, but they didn't, the film was pretty shit.
The film was OBVIOUSLY, and it was painfully obvious, made by people wanting the audience to say "YOU GO GIRL" in very stereotypical, badly thought out scenes.
The characters are two dimensional and put in there for obvious effects and only a two year old would have trouble predicting what happens through some of the story.
The fat shaming, popular girl. The cheating professor. The slightly nerdy unpopular guy.
I feels so bitter towards films these days and I don't know if it's because films and TV shows are being made differently, as if they have to tick certain boxes, like they were designed by a marketing team rather than someone wanting to tell an original story.
The next film I think I'll watch is "Mean Streets." I haven't seen it before but it's a bit of an oldy so I'm hoping it won't disappoint.
I fucking LOVE the IT Crowd, I think I watched them all though.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
