I am neither a DC nor a Marvel fan and couldn't care less about comic book movies. I enjoyed the Iron Man movies, the spider man movies and sequels with Toby McGuire were horrific, I liked the first Captain America, Thor was atrocious, and Wonder Woman was alright. I liked Batman Begins and The Dark Knight but not The Dark Knight Rises. I saw the Edward Norton Hulk but hardly remember anything about it. And the first Avengers movie which was okay.
I saw this a couple weeks ago, was the only person in the theater, and was totally creeped out, not by the movie, but by an usher who kept walking in, stood halfway up the steps and would then leave.
The movie itself was okay. I was spoiled going into it because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle a horror flick without knowing about the story but even then I didn't find it incredibly scary. The horror part of it mostly consisted of jump scares to me. It felt more like a thriller. I also wasn't totally blown away by the ending. Interesting concept, though.
