The Professor and the Madman (2019), Mel Gibson, Sean Penn
An entertaining - if somewhat fanciful - film about the origins of the Oxford English Dictionary. Gibson plays James Murray, a Scottish philologist who becomes the dictionary’s first editor and chief compiler. Penn plays (and sometimes overplays) Dr. William Minor, an American insane asylum inmate who becomes one of the chief contributors to the dictionary.
