An anti-abortion-rights advocate finally gets mad enough to slip up and speak the truth. This is not about protecting life. If it were and you really did think the fetus was a "living being", you would not "allow" abortion in the case of rape. It's a no-brainer that it's morally wrong to punish children for what their fathers did.
No, this is about punishing people, women in particular, who have what you deem to be "irresponsible" or "immoral" sex. You want to be able to say to women with an unwanted pregnancy, "you made your bed honey, now you go lie it in", don't you? Go on, admit it. You've come this far.
This isn't pro-life. It's anti-sex. It's a throwback to our puritan days when a woman who committed adultery had to wear a scarlet letter.
