RE: Oldest Clovis Sites Found Thus Far

It just occurred to me, Luckie, that you might have been asking about the timeline of any landbridge, and why old clovis sites stir up controversy.
Essentially, any site in the americas can only be so old, because the landbridge did not exist indefinitely into the past (and obviously ceased to exist at some point between then and now). That puts a window(s) on any possible migration to populate north america (and ultimately s. america as well) across said bridge. All of this is according to the prevailing maxim.
If we find a site that would suggest migration and population of the americas before that bridge existed (or during any of the periods in which it was underwater), then we have a serious problem - if we want to maintain the current explanation.
So that's the clovis bit in a nutshell.
