The thing that makes me most sad is the fact that their search for an eternity in a fictional after-life is keeping them from helping us prolong this one.
I'm fairly certain that the human lifespan would have been made much longer by now through scientific advancements were people not so damned content with dying.
I mean, it's okay to be fine with death.
But what I'm talking about the ironic fact that theists are actually hoping wishfully for an eternal life. Efforts would be much more productive in the world that actually exists.
