The sky round here is often predominantly blue, though it can be salmon pink, orange, yellow, grey, white, black and so on. Interestingly, Even the blue isn't strictly or completely blue, if you look at it closely. I'm given to understand the sky in Ancient Greek writings was described as bronze, or brazen, though this would appear to be a reference to being shiny like bronze rather than the actual colour.
So even in the real world that most of us inhabit, things are not so clear cut.
