IRL, there is a button that does this, for me, in most cases. I go for a walk or a drive and get the hell away from the person bugging me.
The only time I put people on ignore is if they are sending me rude pm’s, then the ignore feature blocks them from sending anything private to me.
I haven’t had to do that in quite some time.
On another forum, I'm able to use "contacts and friends" to regulate my inbox content. I've had to do just that a couple of times there, but here and at TTA, I don't have those problems. Then again, I'm not a female online, which is a factor I'm sure adds to your stress and whatnot.
