As of today 491 have been killed outright as of May 29th. That's 3.2 per day or, as some around here would assert, magnificent police work.
It is a national disgrace but then, we have so many of those.
That's about what I would expect in any country that was loaded up with handguns and a crazy gun culture like the US has. I don't think there is anything especially evil about your police. Dump millions of handguns into any big city anywhere and watch the murder rate and cop shootings soar to US levels.
I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that not only do US cops kill far more people than their peer nations, but the cops themselves are also killed a lot more than in other countries. To me it appears that the US doesn't so much have a problem with cops, it has a problem with gun culture and the deadly violence that goes with it.
If god was real he wouldn't need middle men to explain his wants or do his bidding.
