Relief, peace, and sadness for Mom all at the same time.
She finally woke up to what me and my brother have been trying to tell her for months, and sent that asshole boyfriend packing, for good this time. Turns out he was cheating on her... the irony, considering his biggest gripe with our Dad that he had ("apparently") cheated on Mom when they were younger.
Some people are just full of hypocritical shit, aren't they? I've never known such a holier-than-thou sociopath.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie
