I'm jealous -- it'll be another year or so before the VA will replace my hip and I can get back to scootin'. Happy pedallin', brotha.
I think for on the road, I'm gonna look for a Bluetooth speaker I can mount on the handlebars or something. I pretty much have to because aside from the fact that I live in a helmet-mandatory state, I won't ride without one and I share your distaste of earbuds.
I'm gonna try to enjoy it. I enjoy walking for the scenery but there's only so many places I can go on foot and since a secondary goal is to limit driving, I expect to enjoy this even more, and Ibe always found an exercise program that practically fits within my leisure interests to be the easiest to stay on.
Yeah, I rode with helmet from '03 forward after a bad accident. After that, I got headphones that were around-the-back -- don't know if they still make them.
Enjoy your scooting, bud, however you make it happen.
