I've noticed one odd phenomenon: Every so often I'm thinking constantly about food in connection with after-work activities. When I'm agitated or haven't eaten enough protein, I start plotting out which coffee shop or restaurant to go to later on. If I take the time to eat an appropriately balanced meal that doesn't happen.
