Hillary needs to nominate Elizabeth Warren to squash the Wall Street stuff and also get some of the Berners back on board. Then Bernie needs to stump for Hillary, and keep his base excited.
I never said she'd be tougher on Wall Street. I don't think any candidate, including Bernie, could do anything to Wall Street with the current congressional/political system. I am not a Hillary fan by any means. I'm a Bernie Sanders supporter, but I am also a realist. I may not like Hillary, but I don't think she'll make things worse---and I think every single one of the asshats on the other side will make things way worse. Elizabeth Warren is the person not to make Hillary do anything. She's the person that is exciting, when there is literally nothing exciting about Hillary herself. Warren will grab some of these #BernieOrBust fans because she's got the same track record. She allows Hillary to go for the moderates while Warren attracts the left-leaners.
Getting a liberal in the White House is imperative. There is a Supreme Court Justice to nominate, and this president will likely nominate two more. You think Trump or Cruz is going to replace RBG and Breyer with moderates? That's why you eat the fucking chicken. Because a generation's worth of Supreme Court decisions is on the line. Contesting Citizen's United so we can approach an only mildly outrageous election cycle in 4 years is on the line. Pouting at home because Bernie didn't win and allowing Donald Trump to become our next president because the left's candidate isn't left enough is ludicrous.
I understand the choice to cast a vote for the candidate you most agree with. I don't understand not having a rational view of what the outcome of that will be. When the Trump/Christie ticket gets into the White House because 10% of the nation wrote in Bernie Sanders, what does that accomplish? Your voice was heard? Nice. Now you can be sued for calling Trump a moron on the internet because Trump executive actioned libel laws into orbit. Now we have three conservative justices where there was just one. Now trade and diplomacy across the world turn to shit because The Donald kicks in doors and expects to be a mogul on everything.
Making a point is one thing. Demonstrating your point to your own detriment is entirely another.
