RE: Atheists, tell me, a Roman Catholic: why should I become an atheist?

It is not all about a lack of evidence. It's about common sense. Every single religious discussion I have had in my life with Islamic and Christian people, all came back to their single and only answer to ALL my questions:
It is so, because it is written in the Holy Book Quran or Bible. Therefore it is true or an acceptable fact or story.
Shouldn't every single semi-intelligent human being start to wonder in 2017, why the f*ck these 2000+ years old scrolls should hold the absolute and single truth ?
Isn't it extremely childish to believe in old man made stories, or other written fantasies ?
