It only left my Iowa town last week. Question is, will it still be playing when the new Star Wars comes out?
Just a half billion dollars? Yawn. I know of people who won that much in Powerball.
I think you'll find this is going to be a continuing trend.
TFA was the first Star Wars movie since the prequels and there was a lot of anticipation for it, especially when the original cast were going to be in it. Even though it made $2 billion I don't think it lived up to the hype.
Rogue One, while a better movie, in my opinion, being a stand alone, with an entirely new cast, just didn't garner the anticipation of many of the fans that a movie that carries on the original plan for nine movies could.
I'll be interested to see how the Han Solo stand alone movie does.
