He has a seat belt that hooks into the normal seatbelt buckle, and then links to his harness. It keeps him from flying out of a window by choice or accident, but allows him the freedom to jump down into the feet-areas of whatever seat he's on (sometimes he likes to sleep down there).
I'm just thinking I need to get that "mud sling" that hooks onto the headrests of the front and back seats. It protects the backseat from muddy paws, but I think also it would make him feel more secure.
This is the fourth seizure since last May that I've seen. They aren't regular enough to put him on medication (yet) but we're keeping a log of them. Twice they had no discernible cause, and twice they seemed stress induced. So we don't do too much outside when it's super hot, and we avoid situations where he might get freaked out. I lost my shit the first and second time it happened, but my vet is literally the most amazing place in the world and his particular doctor and tech went above and beyond with him (he triggered after getting a biopsy on a sore on his foot). By the time I left there, I knew what to expect and how to handle it.
Soon after that photo, he was back up playing with Mr. Duck.
