Here's a photo of my dogs I took this past summer at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden in northern California. This is the only botanical garden I know where dogs are not only welcome but are even offered free ice cream when you order something for yourself from the tea shop.
Sadly I'm not allowed any cats as my wife is a weaver and fears to have her pieces shred. Too bad really. We could use a good ratter living as we do in a 100 year old warehouse near a creek.
Hey look at me posting a photo "all by myself" as my 5 year old
niece would put it. When your 10 years younger brother marries a woman 20 years younger than himself, it is possible to have such a young niece at 58. I feel more like her granddad. This really is the best way to have young kids in your life: a few visits a month with the occasional outing and sleepover .. and then right back to mom and dad. Plenty of time to let the heart grow fonder.
Heidi Rose, sitting on the bench, is a two year old heeler aussie cross. Fletcher, on the ground, is a 12 year old aussie.
