The emotional adjustment is another thing since you could see and now cannot.I suppose I'm still wrapping my head around the irony of being a blind artist. Most of the physical adjusting I've taken to like ducks to water. It's waking up everyday knowing there are over 30 shades of turquoise and not being able to use them properly that gets to me. Now I'm going to shut up cuz I'm just depressing myself.
For me, I'd rather lose my legs than my sight.
As I understand it, art is anything which causes the viewer to emote. Now you may not be able to tell turquoise 34 from turquoise 37. But so what? Verisimilitude my not be your gift. But I've seen breathtaking art created with a simple pencil, or with words, or with music.
As an artist your gift is to communicate feelings. I know a little of the depth and beauty you have inside you. It's presumptuous of me, but perhaps your art should reflect you rather than trying to do something you are not.
As to poison Ivy, that's a state of mind. There is a scene where she's Dressed as a scruffy intern. She's still hawt! The difference between poison Ivy and the joker is simply demeanor.
