It's more like entropy causes disorder, but that's because it's nature is disorder. There is nothing else that Entropy is but disorder/dispersement. Sorry, still don't think there is anything to your objection.

It's not an objection really. It's more like an observation. If entropy causes disorder, it cannot be disorder. It cannot be the cause and effect. Like I said, I am sure it is a perfectly acceptable synonym, but, like so many other definitions or synonyms in the English language, it is confusing in its inaccuracy. It is not wildly inaccurate, just a little off.
