Should Theists have the burden of proof at the police and court?

Should Theists have the burden of proof at the police and court?
What if police and court go by Theist logic and tell them, but you can't prove that you didn't do the crime.

"Not witnessing the crime doesn't mean you weren't the one doing it."

That's just hypothetical of course, because every rational person knows that this kind of reasoning is retarded.

That's not the problem. They think they HAVE evidence when it's really not. That's not the same, in their minds, as having no evidence.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

Police has evidence that the victim ate your sandwich without permission, so it is only logical that you shot him. At least police has an answer, right?

In the Mormon orbit, just having a dream about Joseph Smith and the golden plates was deemed to be evidence.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I don't see how these two things are connected. Are you asking what would it be like if the burden of proof lies in the hands of the defense instead of the prosecution?

Uh.... didn't Joseph Smith have a dream that the golden plates were buried in his yard? ... And isn't the Book of Mormon written in English? By virtue of the fact that the Book of Mormon exists in English, we have solid, tangible proof that I can physically show you that the plates were indeed buried in Joseph Smith's backyard and that Joseph Smith translated them to English. Twice!

Checkmate, atheists!

No, he only SAID he had a dream about golden plates buried on his property. Hearsay and conjecture.

Theist response: Then how else did he come by the knowledge of the plates being buried there and to go looking for them?

Yes.... Isn't that what I just said? I'm confused. Was my sarcasm not very clear in my post?  Confused

I'm making fun of pedantry and also satirizing the argument from ignorance. It wasn't intended to diminish yours, merely work off of it to deliver an even more spectacular blow (only not using sarcasm, but satire).
