That was completely made up. How does one mistakenly think the child was "carried away screaming by border patrol agents?" The photographer saw what they had written, and corrected them.
It was a piece of fiction that advanced the already phony narrative that goes with this photo. That this girl is the 'face of Trumps immigration policy." Even though everybody has said this incident has nothing to do with the change in policy. But you get the picture going viral without the context, and a bunch of dopey people will draw the conclusions they want them to draw.
The 'clarification' is that the picture is bullshit. The correction, is that they just made up part of the story.
Remember back when you found that snopes article, and you thought you got me good!? Those were good times.
Now you're like "I don't think they intended to say "She was taken away screaming by border patrol agents." instead of the truth for any dubious reasons.
Just so you know, "Yeah, Times fucked up on this one. They need to be better." is still on the table as an acceptable response.
You're doing great! Remember when you said they didn't issue a correction, because there was nothing to correct. But then I showed you the correction they issued!? And you were like Nope! Even though Time itself called it a correction. That was fun.
