In a serious related note, my late friend Bob made the objection to Shrodinger, that in his estimation, the problem with that thought experiment is that Shrodinger never took into account the point of view of the cat itself. Being outside the box, yea, since you can see it, but the cat itself is in the box perceiving it's own point of view.
