That's fine. Then don't complain when we don't "meddle". And things go down the shitter. By this logic, imagine for a few seconds what would have happened if the United States said "fuck you, you're on your own" to Europe during World War 2. 

I dislike American intervention as much as the next guy. And yes, I'm an American. But again, don't complain and blame us when things go downhill. Lots of us don't want to see our taxes being wasted on another country when we have plenty of our own problems back home. 

Oh yeah, don't expect us to take in immigrants when things in said country go down the shitter either if you have this attitude.

There is meddling and there is assistance. The two are not the same. 
In left leaning countries the US has a long history, particularly in South America, of destablalising the regimes and trying to install right wing ones.

They would rather the left wing countries burn than have an example of a good one close to home.
That is meddling.

Then you have countries that the US have already fucked up like Iraq and Afghanistan, they go in screw everything up then leave with no help. Those countries need assistance.

Then there are countries that have humanitarian issues, again they need assistance.

There is a difference and Britain can do it. Just learn where the boundaries lie.
