So.... your response is "Current sharing of information is not conducive under current laws. So data sharing doesn't happen. Therefore hard."
I appologize for my poor paraphrasing but the reason above is very poor.
And the second was "It didn't work for other country 'X' because reasons." Again a rather weird comment.
The Canadians don't play cricket, either. But they're not complete parias, eh?
So. What might your possible solution to your country's current worries be?

I had enough guns at one point that I had to take out extra insurance - as my homeowners would not have covered the loss. I asked my insurance agent if that info would or could be shared with law enforcement. (Just curious)
Answer - absolutely not. Covered by lawyer client confidentiality.
The "stupidity" of the laws isn't the subject.
But their restraint is why the red flag laws won't work.
And - trying to get everyone to register their guns?
