Even Iraqis are realizing the West is not to be trusted ever again.

Realizing? That tense implies that America hasn’t spent most of the last 17 years fucking with the Middle East, and Iraq in particular, deposing their admittedly horrible, but still still stablising, dictator, creating a power vacuum that allows groups like ISIS and al Qaeda to flourish and make things worse for everyone, creating Hell in the Middle East, embroiling the US in conflicts that much of its population does not want any part in (the fact that they’re basically facing guerrilla forces in areas where they might be perceived as the lesser evil makes it even worse, because in my studies of history, I have yet to find an war like this that didn’t end in failure on the part of the invading army or genocide), and helping worsen energy crises for the rest of the world, because petroleum remains the dominant form of energy and the Middle East, which, thanks to America, is embroiled in war, has a lot that it can’t give.
