God does whatever he wants which is whatever is metaphysically possible. It may be the case that this world is mostly suffering but that doesn't mean that reality as a whole is. The amount of suffering on this one planet is tiny compared to the rest of God's well-being. We're cosmically unimportant to him.
If Satan exists he's just part of God too.
And such a Satan may be 'winning' on this planet but overall he isn't winning if this planet is cosmically unimportant and insignificant to God.
All the pain and suffering on this planet is, to God, just like an itch that he wants to scratch. Ever had an itch that is really satisfying to scratch? That's what the suffering on this planet is like to God.
So you are a deist... Please elaborate on what u believe and your journey up to here if u like cos im interested
I believe that an infinite mind exists and that that infinite mind should get whatever it wants and does get whatever it wants and it's morally justified because classical utilitarian is true, that infinite mind is a 'utility monster' and I bite the bullet on that thought experiment.

I don't follow a religion and I wouldn't say that I believe that God intervenes. That's why I consider myself to be a deist. To me God 'intervening' is just the universe playing with itself. It's somewhat pantheistic and I wouldn't call it incompatible with deism.
After all, there is a sense of 'deism' that just means belief in a deity. And that's the key point. I believe in a deity. But I'm also without that extra stuff like following a religion or having a God separate to the universe that intervenes in it, etc.
