It is not so rare for Arabic words to a meaning that is not obviousely related to the morphological fundimental. For example : The word Jarrah جرة = jar, derives from the fundimental J-R-R just like the verb Jarra جر = To drag (past tence). Dragging has nothing to do with jars, yet they share the same fundemental in Arabic.
I know that, but never in my few decades of interacting with Arabic-speaking people have I ever heard any word related to "wase3" mean anything to do with richness or capability. I agree with Atlas on his counter to you on that. Maybe you're right, but I'm not convinced, especially since the verse itself is probably based on verses stated in the OT.

It seems you're correct actually that "mouse3" can mean "wealthy". So fair enough.
But context nevertheless matters, and in the verse discussed, the other definition (wideners/expanders) appears to be the more appropriate.
