It's not about Floyd. In the same sense, that teacup of water you dump into a swimming pool isn't the pool. Floyd is just the case that caused the powder keg to explode. It's Tamir Rice. It's Trayvon Martin. It's Daniel Shaver (who was white, but killer cops are killer cops). It's Sandra Bland. It's Botham Jean. It's Mike Brown. It's Philando Castile. It's case after case after case of police needlessly killing people. They rarely face consequences for their murders. They did in the George Floyd murder, but that was AFTER there were nation wide riots and a police department burned down. Perhaps, had police been reigned in before this, perhaps had we tried to control them all the way back in the 90's when Rodney King was needlessly beaten, we wouldn't be in this mess and riots wouldn't be happening now. And if we don't control things now, 20 years from now, our children, our grandchildren, they'll be involved with more riots as the problem gets worse and worse.
