Funny there is no tariff on fireworks.
Just saw a news story yesterday on TV where some dumbfuck was firing fireworks close to a house and it went into a window and ended up burning the house down.
Long ago, when I was in my late teens or early 20s, don't remember the year. One of my HS friend's buddies decided to have his own 4th party in his front yard. And mind you, this was NOT wide open field, this was a DC suburb with houses close to each other and lots of trees in front yards. I don't know how the fuck it happened, nobody did, but some spark let up the entire box of fireworks and to this day I am amazed nobody got hurt and no houses burnt down. But, even back then, the types of fireworks he had were illegal for the county.
We are talking roman candles and bottle rockets. And especially today, with climate change and dry seasons, it is bat shit insane to use that shit, especially if you are not a professional fireworks company that puts on county/city/federal events.
