Many people claim it is wrong to equate the former guy to WW2 Germany, but what can one say when a General equates your followers to "Brown Shirts"?
Let me make it clear, just because something has not happened yet, doesn't mean it cannot happen. Our Republic isn't a given and depends 100% on vigilance and participation. But when fear and insecurity take hold to a great enough degree, it makes it easy for those in lust for power to take advantage of the vulnerable. But for the former guy, he ran for one reason only, to avoid prosecution in pending cases and knew if he won he could hide behind "you cant indict a sitting president". Which was never in the constitution, but a mere DOJ recommendation.
50 former Republican intel agents warned of what could happen if the former guy was elected, the first time. Thousands of lawyers nationwide expressed concern with his language and tactics in both runs.
So you have your occasional Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney. Not enough. Even today, even though the former guy lost, he is still setting the stage for toppling our Republic, even if he never gets elected again. We need the GOP of Nixon, we need politicians to put the Republic before power.
So what does anyone have to say to a General, who was expressing concern as well? How many voices is it going to take?

Here’s a way to raise more voices: get up off the parliamentary side of your arse and DO something. You could -
-Start petitions to get candidates you like on the ballot.
-Volunteer for your candidates.
-Organize (or at least take part in) voter registration drives.
-Go the next time your local government has a public meeting (I think you call them ‘town halls’ or some such) and make some noise.
-Fund raise for initiatives or candidates that appeal to you.
-Call, write or email ALL government officials of ANY party that represent you.
-Show up the next time there’s a march or protest regarding a cause you care about.
-Urge all your friends, neighbours, and casual acquaintances to join you in all of the above.
If you want to know ‘how many voices will it take’, you need to start by BEING a voice.
