That is teleological. Many people reject their religion but settle into a different one. The very thing that defines and atheist is one who does not settle into a new religion, but rejects them all. Still not at all relevant to my posts.

I rejected my religion because there were too many inconsistencies and contradictions between the believers and the teachings and the real world. As I explored other religions, I began to see a pattern. The more I learn, the more I see the pattern. Religion was created by humans. God was created by humans. God is just something humans made up to explain things. Religion is something powerful people created to control people. Looking back, it didn't really take too much deep thinking to make the leap. The biggest obstacle were the layers of emotional baggage piled on me by my family and fellow church Christians, even the whole community.
Why is it so?
