People certainly allow their emotions to dictate their behaviors and actions. This is probably the default mode for most humans. It takes real restraint to ignore emotions and think clearly, critically. There are tons of books and courses on how to do this very thing because generally, allowing emotions to drive your behavior is detrimental to your life. It leads to impulsivity and poor decision making based on too little information or bad information. Are you a fan of Trump? Trump ONLY thinks with his emotions and this is pretty easy to demonstrate. Other than his lapdog followers, most people acknowledge how foolish Trump's behaviors and decision making are. His primary emotions are fear and greed and this drives most of his life. Now, if you want to say that you are driven by love and compassion for others then you may be on the right path. But let's be real here. Unless you've surpassed some serious milestones in your career or life, you are probably not being honest about the significance of what you've accomplished in life.
I have an experience of my own that could easily be interpreted as supernatural and would be happy to share it if you are interested and open to understanding, but I don't want it belittled in any way.

Let's put it this way......if I were to record an album, and I was compiling a "Thanks to (insert name here)" list of people who helped me make the album, or inspired the album in some way, I would feel bad not including God.

What's the difference between a strong feeling and knowing?
OK, giant can of worms just opened. I've trod through some very lengthy threads about knowing vs. believing, which in this case is probably the same as feeling. I read the Republic to get some understanding. It's a big topic.
Why is it so?
