Ancient Cloning Moss
Quote:A moss spreading throughout the Hawaiian Islands (map) appears to be an ancient clone that has copied itself for some 50,000 years—and may be one of the oldest multicellular organisms on Earth, a new study suggests.

RE: Ancient Cloning Moss
Thanks for sharing. I like how it is actually genetically diversed even though they are clones. I suppose is a good thing for these moss because diversity will ensure a higher survival chance. It seems to be pretty invasive and destructive though and probably shouldnt be introduce to other plant ecosystem. Good thing doesnt have spores!
