RE: Bible has some shocking 'family values' - Finally, Some Sensible Writing
People who have actually read the bible - learn quickly that the god of the bible is by far one of the most evil and demented fictional characters ever developed in literature.

FOr example - one must remember that even christians accept the fact that Babies and children cannot sin(IF sin could happen) before an age of responsibility - the catholic church established that age to be 7 for a normal child.

In the human population - the percentage of children under age 7 today is about 21 percent of the population - and was a higher percentage in the past - because people live much longer today. IF you use the Jewish calendar to date the great flood - population estimates for that time are that 5 million people would have lived on earth at that time - if we assume at least 20% of them were children under 7 - that comes to over a MILLION children who could not sin.

The killing of INNOCENTS is simply a definition of murder. SO -= if the great flood had happened - it would represent BY FAR - that largest mass murder of Innocent children and babies who could not have done anything to deserve being drowned. This is simply mass murder on a giant scale. THe bible says that the son is NOT resposible for the sins of the father - and one cannot say that these children WOULD HAVE done something wrong -because they would never have had the chance to do so. THE flood - of it had happened - is simply a mass murder by the god.

SO is the Passover. THe god had a beef with the Pharaoh - not the children. Killing the first born - at least 20 percent of those would have been innocent children - but ALL of those killed would have been innocent - since they did not control the position of the Pharaoh.

Thankfully - the religion is a fake - and those events did not happen. We know that the flood never happened through the succession of Egyptian Pharaohs. THere is NO evidence that the Israelies existed before 1420 BC - and the records are clear that they were not in bondage to Egypt as claimed.

Quote:its authors were human beings, many of whom are named: David, Isaiah, Luke, and Paul.

Oh, fuck. This clown doesn't understand pseudoepigraphia at all.

Quote:Pseudoepigrapha are falsely attributed works, texts whose claimed authorship is unfounded; a work, simply, "whose real author attributed it to a figure of the past."[

A Christians rebuttal is simple here. god sent the flood at the right time; somehow by miracle of god there were no babies on earth at the time of the great flood.

Remember, if they can use a fairy tale book as hard evidence of existence of god, above rebuttal is nothing for them.

Of course - a miracle of such magnitude would surely be noted in the bible itself - and it is NOT. CHristians often attempt to add something to the bible that is NOT THERE - and that claim is just another rewriting of the bible
And of course - it is clear that the killings in the passover cannot be explained away - in that manner as well.

You are incorrect, there were many children when God sent the flood. God in his omniscient and omnipresent ability saw that none of those children would grow up to be any better than their parents.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
